The trails are well-maintained with clear red, blue, and yellow markers, winding through thick pine and birch forests where you'll hear nothing but wind and birdsong. Weather changes fast up here, and fog can roll in within minutes, transforming the experience from sunny stroll to atmospheric Nordic adventure. Most visitors pay 95 NOK roundtrip for the funicular and spend 20 minutes at the crowded viewpoint before heading down. You're missing the point entirely.
